My Final Chosen Design 2

This is my final design for poster 2, in this image i was communicating sponsorships and professionalism as i have the caption of the player running. I really like the colours in this as it makes the poster stand out for the viewers.

My Final chosen Design 1

This is my chosen final design 1 that i thought was great for representing my topic.I specifically made this design plain, black and white and simple.I did this because when i ask the question on,the image its meant to look old,the player is not as professional as the players now and it shows that they never had advertisements then.

Poster Two Design Process

This is how i started off my poster with the Aston Villa Badge, which i selected an pasted onto another document.

This were just an image that i found of Gabriel Agbonlahor on the website.

After that i selected the player and then i selected image, adjustments the threshold to make the player look like the Banksy technique.

Finally this is what i came up with by gradually adding sponsorships and the gradient tool to look like the image is fading. But after i thought i had finished i decided the badge in the background looked better slanted.

Poster one design process

In this image you can tell i have included the typography within the centre of the image.

In this image i have just simply included an old paper texture to my image to give it an old used look.

And finally in this image i have included a smoke effect to the cigarette to make the object stand out more so it shows what i am trying to communicate.

Poster 2 rough sketches

After looking at the designs closely i think i am going to go with design 1.

Poster 1 rough sketches

After lookin at these designs i  think i am going to go with the first design.

Research

After researching different posters it is now time to do quick sketches of what i want my postrer designs to look like.

Poster Research

I really like the textured background on this image

On this image i love how on the characters it highlights the shadows more and makes it more of a darker feel to it.

In this image i really like how the skin texture on the player it split.

These are just some examples of poster designs that i have been researching to help me with my ideas for my poster designs.

Visual Project

Seen as i have to do a visual part of the brief this including two A3 pieces.I have decided to do two posters that advertise my topic well.

My quick statement of how professionalism has changed throughout the years

After researching through how footballers professionalism has changed in football it is actually truely amazing. It all started as a part-time job and hobbie then it gradually changed to a full time job as the demand for the entertainment of the sport grew. But what amused me through my research was at half time footballers used to go back to the changing rooms and have a cheeky glass of whisky and a cigarette, before leaving for the second half. Also after the game they use to go to the local pubs and have a few drinks with the supporters and had fun with the young ladies.
Now in this day of era footballers have strict diets where they cant drink,at half time instead of whiskeys the have energy drinks and oranges, they also have to have fresh organic food and fruit, and alot more training and fitness sessions.Even there private life has changed as todays footballers have to try and stay out of the public media as this could go horribly wrong for the player and club.A good example recentley is the Wayne Rooney scenario on how his confidence and performances has changed due to the leaked stories of the affairs scandal. So through all the research it shows how obvious how the professionalism has changed throughout the years.

Pressure Vs Professionalism

European footballers are often considered heroes by many across the world. In retrospect, there are those who consider it a travesty to praise these footballers to such heights, as more often than not they fail to lead by example. In short, an increasing number of individuals in the latter category believe that the pressure of an intense football game gets the better of the professionalism that must always be present for athletes of such a high order.
I find myself torn between the two categories for the basic reason that in some incidents, I am biased, while in others I just struggle to make up my mind. I am sure I am not the only one with a conflicted take on the issue.
In fact I can find a series of instances where people would argue over whether or not pressure got the better of a professional footballer. These are some of the incidents that could back up the point:
It was a fine summer evening in Paris for the Champions League,as underdog finalists Arsenal were battling a Barcelona side considered by many as the best team in Europe at that moment. It was a historic Champions League run for a young Gunners squad inspired by the brilliant displays of in-form goalkeeper Jens Lehmann.
However, just a split-second changed it all. As Samuel Eto’o strolled forward for the dominant Catalans in about the 13th minute, Lehmann responded under pressure by performing a sliding tackle on the Cameroon international right outside the box. The referee sent off Lehmann and from that incident onwards, Jens never really regained his confidence and ultimately went on to lose the support of many Arsenal supporters, too.
He had been a top professional who led Arsenal to a unique invincible season while also shutting down Juan Roman Riquelme’s penalty to prevent Villarreal from progressing at Arsenal’s expense in the semi-finals of that very season in the Champions League. In one moment though, Lehmann’s immense contributions were all forgotten while his failure to respond to a single pressure-filled situation remains highlighted till date.
Juliano Belletti, who had been Barcelona’s match-winner on that night, almost became the villain against Juventus last night as his blatant hand ball cost his Chelsea side a crucial penalty. If Lehmann’s professionalism was defeated by pressure, then Belletti should never be forgiven for a hand ball that is perhaps the most deliberate I have ever seen.
Where was Belletti’s professionalism when he was under pressure from the loud Bianconeri fans at the Delle Alpi?
These are merely examples of situations where a professional footballer is accused of under-performing as a result of overwhelming pressure.
To conclude, there will always be instances where a question mark will be raised against a footballer’s professionalism under pressure. Some will support the player in question, while others will try their best to demoralize him. The downside is that there will never be a consensus of agreement on this issue. The positive, however, is that we can enjoy this argument indefinitely!

Agbonlahor Nike Media Advertisement

Nike launched a search for the fastest footballers in the UK and to kick off the quest, a new viral has been released showcasing Tottenham's Aaron Lennon and Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonglahor's phenomenal speed.
The clip shows Lennon and Agbonglahor testing out their new Nike Mercurial Vapor IV boot, which is specifically designed to improve speed with and without the ball.
The clips are set on a 45-metre course, which pits Lennon and Agbonglahor in a head-to-head test to determine who is the fastest to and fastest with the ball.
Lennon is up first with his furious weaving then Agbonglahor offers a dramatic slalom effort in an attempt to crush Lennon's benchmark time.
